A UK bank robber has been labeled the worst at his job by a Liverpool Crown Court judge. Terence Cole was shown mercy this week by the judge because of how awful he was at his craft. Judge Clement Goldstone said, “I make it quite clear that if you had been more successful you would have been facing today a discretionary life sentence.” In a span of three weeks in November and December of last year, Cole attempted to rob six banks but didn't walk away with anything except for one time. Cole wore a scarf over his mouth but tellers couldn't understand what he was asking for. He also claimed to have a gun but the “gun” was actually a gray brush wrapped in tape. The only successful bank heist he had ended up netting him just $500 dollar. Cole pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced to eight years behind bars instead of the possible life sentence he was looking at.
