Chris Hansen, the man we came to know for Dateline NBC's "To Catch A Predator" series has been busted by cops. Not for dirty dealing with teens, but for allegedly bouncing checks. The Connecticut resident is accused of failing to pay for 13-thousand dollars worth of marketing materials like coffee mugs, T-shirts and vinyl decals.
The complaint, filed by the owner of a local business, says Hansen bounced at least two checks and then tried to make arrangements for partial payment. The initial order was back in 2017 and the business owner says he still hasn't been paid. Hansen turned himself in to police Monday.
For the uninitiated, his show, which was canceled in 2008, used hidden cameras and undercover Internet work to confront pedophiles.
