Working at a convenience store is not an easy gig. A 26-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after he assaulted a store clerk with a banana. Police say Rogelio Tapia chased the employee around the store and threw the fruit and other items after the clerk got involved with a fight he was having with his girlfriend. Tapia wasn't going down easy either as one officer had to tackle him in an attempt to handcuff him. The suspect caused around $1000 in damage. Tapia was charged with assault on persons in certain occupations, assault, third-degree criminal mischief and interference with official acts.
