Airline Discounts 16K In Luxury Tickets By Accident (REAL)

They say that if it seems to good to be true, it probably isn't real. That was the case with a New Year’s Eve travel sale for Cathay Pacific Airlines.

Turns out, the carrier accidentally priced a luxury flight from Vietnam to New York City at a shocking $15-thousand discount. The airline caught the mistake which had tickets for the business class journey priced at $675 rather than its usual $16-thousand price.

The Hong Kong-based airline declined to say how many passengers were able to get those underpriced tickets on New Year's Day. While it was in error, passengers who purchased tickets at that price will have those tickets honored.

  • The flight offer was picked up on New Year’s Eve by Gary Leff, a travel blogger, who wrote: “Oh my goodness this is an amazing fare.  He also warned his readers not to book any additional travel or hotels around the deal, because he thought that Cathay “might get seller’s remorse” and honor the fares. “I’d wait a few days after buying additional travel or making additional non-refundable plans around the fare,” he said.
  • Meanwhile...Cathay has removed ALL the business and first-class flights for August, the month of the cut-price fares, from its website, but the same flights in September are listed for $16k.

Hot Tub Argument Leads To Man Getting Ear Bitten Off (REAL)

Some people are just convinced that Lee Harvey Oswald didn't kill President Kennedy or that aliens are walking among us and the government is hiding it from the public. As such, people get REALLY into defending their positions sometimes.

Take Bryan David Boyack for example. He was arrested in Utah on Tuesday after allegedly biting a “large chunk” of a friend’s ear off during an argument about such theories. Police say Boyack was having a heated conversation about big corporations and conspiracy theories while he and the victim were sharing a hot tub.

The victim said Boyack took issue with the fact that he worked for a big banking business. Either way, Boyack turned himself in and was booked into Davis County Jail on a slew of charges...that included being publicly drunk. At last check, he was being held on $150,000 bail.
