After an early release from jail, former “Dukes of Hazzard” star John Schneider is asking the court to restore his original sentence for unpaid alimony.
The actor has revealed that he will likely be unable to pay back the amount of money he owes his ex-wife, therefore he's asking the court to let him serve his full original sentence. “I am willing and able to accept the punishment for my actions/inactions as to this matter and I request this court to impose such sentence without further delay,” he wrote in a letter.
Schneider had originally been sentenced to three days in jail after failing to pay more than $150k of spousal support to his ex-wife, Elvira “Elly” Schneider. Due to overcrowding, he was released from jail on the same day as his booking.
