We all know that Mariah Carey has a huge diva reputation, but not everything that’s reported is necessarily true.
In an interview with “The Telegraph,” Mariah shoots down rumors that she once asked for "20 white kittens and 100 white doves" in a tour rider, noting, “No, 20 cats is an absolute lie. I’m not a cat lady. I don’t have one cat any more.”
As for a rumor that she only bathes in mineral water, that also isn’t completely true, but what is true is even more diva-ish. “ No, I bathe in milk… sometimes I use milk as a beauty treatment,” she says, adding, “I don’t want to give away all my secrets.” As for whether the milk is hot or cold, she replied, “Cold milk.” And as for using mineral water, Mariah does admit, “Well, I guess if there’s no clean water and I had to use mineral water, maybe I would.”
- Mariah also talks about her bipoloar disorder, noting the roots of it stem from an identity crisis in childhood. “It was a combination of being biracial and experiencing the darker side of life,” she says. “My mom experienced a lot of racism as an opera singer because she was married to a black man. Again, it’s impossible to encapsulate that in this setting.” As for when she’ll share more, Mariah says she’s writing her memoirs and will reveal all.
