There's been a lot of talk about landing a manned spacecraft on Mars, with a handful of companies really working to iron out the details and solve the problems of such a long trip in space.
Thankfully, one of these companies is Budweiser, which has teamed up with SpaceX to send 20 seeds of barley to the International Space Station.
Way up there – 254 miles above the surface of Earth – astronauts will start figuring out how zero gravity messes with the plants as they're growing … a first step toward eventually, one day, brewing beer on the red planet. (Food & Wine)
