Phoebe Kannisto is a busy mother of six boys between the ages of 5 and 10, including a set of twins as well as a set of triplets. As if keeping the boys fed, clean, and clothed weren’t enough, she's also been working with them as they’ve been growing out their hair to donate it to kids who’ve lost theirs because of cancer.
The big day finally arrived last week. Phoebe took the boys to a local hair salon for their haircuts. In total, the family got rid of 17 feet of hair and donated it to Children with Hair Loss. Phoebe said the boys were happy to help and everyone was surprised by how each of them grew hair at different rates. But, they stuck together and waited until they all had reached the minimum length for donations.
Phoebe is proud that her sons want to help other children and they all have started making predictions on how long it will take them to grow their hair out to donate again. (Huffington Post)
