The legendary Olson's Ice Cream Shop is celebrating 75 years of treating us in the Chippewa Valley to their fantastic ice cream. Thanks to WEAU-TV, I spotted this story. Honestly, I saw the words 'ice cream' and couldn click on it fast enough!
Believe it or not, Olson's has been in the same location at 611 North Bridge Street in Chippewa Falls for those seven plus decades. The best thing about it, is that they have never changed their recipes. Even after selling to the Hunt family in 2007, Dan and Lind Hunt vowed NOT to change a thing. Good for them.
With more than 150 recipes of homemade frozen yumminess, there ia bound to be a flavor you haven't tried yet.
Also, Olson's recently opened up a second location in downtown Eau Claire. Located at the corner of Barstow and Eau Claire Streets, it will feature exactly the same ice cream that Olson's has become famous for.
