With Memorial Day having recently passed us by and the recognition for those who have served and given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms, I somehow wish we could or even maybe SHOULD do more to honor our members of the Armed Forces.
So, it was with a big smile that I came across this parking sign at a local Eau Claire business. It doesn't really matter where it is (but I will tell you it was a grocery store on North Clairemont Ave), what matters is that they have them and I think that is great. Now, it's not like throwing a parade or holding some sort of fundraiser, but I would like to believe that members of our United States Armed Forces appreciate this gesture and are thankful to the owners of this business for what they are doing.
Now, the question is what should the penalty be for anyone who uses these parking spots that is NOT a military veteran. Your thoughts?
