Nate Smith Reveals 'Mystery' Collab Partner, Adds Another Cryptic Teaser

Nate Smith revealed his “mystery collab” partner on Wednesday (February 12) after stirring anticipation for about a month.

HARDY is joining Smith on the reigning Academy of Country Music New Male Artist of the Year’s rock-infused heartbreak anthem, “Nobody Likes Your Girlfriend.” Smith said he’s “so excited for the world to hear this one,” and teased a music video that “may or may not” include “an extra special cameo.” The collaboration is slated to release on Friday, February 21.

“Nobody Likes Your Girlfriend” is the latest song to release from Smith since he delivered his sophomore album, California Gold, in October. The 16-track record includes “Fix What You Didn’t Break,” “Can You Die From a Broken Heart” with Avril Lavigne, “Bulletproof,” “I Like It” with Alesso, and more. Smith said in a recent interview with iHeartCountry that California Gold “was just a great record to make. I’m really proud of it for a sophomore album. There’s a lot of Easter eggs and nuggets in there. Especially in ‘California Gold,’ the title track, there’s a few things about my hometown and stuff.” He also teased what’s next in 2025, including more new music and touring.

Smith, who recently revealed a dramatic weight loss transformation, shared a sneak peek of his unreleased song with a “mystery” collab partner last month. He asked social media commenters to guess which artist joined him on the track. some guessed Kameron Marlowe, Kane Brown, Post Malone, Cole Swindell and others, and some correctly guessed HARDY.

Smith the star-studded lineup of the 2025 iHeartCountry Festival, which is slated to take place on Saturday, May 3. The festival, hosted by iHeartRadio’s Bobby Bones, will return to Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Other artists in the lineup include Brooks & DunnThomas RhettRascal FlattsSam HuntMegan MoroneyBailey Zimmerman and Cole Swindell.

Hulu will be the Official Streaming Destination of the festival, with performances livestreamed exclusively to all Hulu subscribers at no additional cost.
