Feel Good Story for Friday 10-2-20. Teachers Give Music To Kids!

Students in Appleton, Wisconsin, started the school year virtually -- so music teachers there got together and filled 7,500 bags with instruments -- so every kid could play along from home. The teachers, along with volunteers, got together and created the music kits. Some included an egg shaker, rhythm sticks, cup and scarf -- while others included drumsticks and a bucket. Teacher Stephanie Kapsa explained that “music can be so calming, almost like therapy for some of the students.” Stephanie saw just how excited the students were to receive the instruments, which made her feel like all her hard work over the summer was worth it.
