89-year-old Derlin Newey of Roy, Utah, has been making ends meet by delivering pizzas for Papa John’s about 30 hours a week. And while out on his route, he made friends with the Valdez family. They enjoyed his cheery attitude and ended up having friendly conversations with him. Derlin didn’t know this, but the Valdez family have a pretty solid TikTok following. When they posted a quick video of Derlin -- and asked for donations to help him out -- money poured in. Amazingly, the Valdez family was able to give Derlin a “tip” of a little over $12,000. And, they made it even more special by giving him a custom T-shirt that reads, “Hello, are you looking for some pizza?” -- which is Derlin’s catchphrase whenever he makes a delivery. (Daily Mail)
