Teens Are Now Eating Detergent Pods & Posting The Videos Online

This is NOT ok!

A new online challenge has hit the web and now teens are putting laundry pods in their mouth! As always... it started off as an online joke but now it's turning into a REAL online challenge that has many parents concerned.

According to USA Today in 2017 alone,

"poison control centers received reports of more than 10,500 exposures to highly concentrated packed of laundry detergent by children 5 and younger, according to the American Association of Poison Control Centers."

As of now, even MORE videos of teens putting Tide Pods in their mouth have hit the internet and it's all part of the "Tide Pod Challenge."

Obviously, Tide is NOT endorsing this challenge and is warning parents about the real dangers of eating the detergent. See the videos below... and make sure to lock up those Pods!

Just snacking the day away, I hope you all have a great day! 😊 | | | | #tidepods #meme #tide #snack #greatday #funny #tidepodchallenge

Apparently teens are eating laundry pods in a new social media 'challenge' called the #TidePodChallenge - Medical experts say the consequences are dire. ARE MEMES TO BLAME?!? Online “memes” feature photos depicting the laundry pods as a pizza topping or breakfast cereal. Videos posted on Twitter appear to show people biting into the detergent pacs and spitting them out. Online users joke about how "tasty" the pods look... even calling them the "forbidden fruit."
