Although he officially retired from the National Football League in March, he wants to make it official for the Green Bay Packers, himself and the fans.
After nearly a decade as a Packer and Aaron Rodgers' go to guy, Jordy Nelson will make a trip back to Green Bay in August and sign a one day 'ceremonial' contract so he can officially retire as a Packer.
Jordy was a second round draft pick in 2008 and compiled nearly 7,900 yards and 69 touchdowns. He also had an outstanding game in the Super Bowl win over Pittsburgh with 9 catches, 1540 yards and 1 touchdown. He was also one of the fans all time favorites.
I know that Packers' fans wish him and his family all the best.
