An Oklahoma man is helping to take the burden off struggling parents this holiday by picking up the tab for outstanding school lunches. Tommy Kelley is a former student of Oklahoma City Schools and he recently donated $10,000 to pay off a big chunk of the unpaid school lunch balances in the district.
Kelley says his act of kindness is supposed to pay it forward for the kids, because it’s not their fault they don’t have money to buy lunch at school. This isn’t his only good deed, Kelley also runs a charity in Oklahoma City that delivers meals to the homeless. And he says it was important to him to give back to the schools that helped him become who he is today.
