Chances are if your job title is “polar bear guard,” you’re going to have to be prepared to come pretty close to some polar bears.
Norwegian authorities are saying that a polar bear attacked and injured a guard who was assisting tourists on a cruise ship.
The unnamed guard will be okay, but according to their spokeswoman Negar Etminam, the second guard shot the animal dead “in an act of self-defense.”
