After his massive one-man tour last year, Eric Church scored a nomination for the CMA's Entertainer of the Year.
He didn't take home the big prize -- Garth Brooks did. While he was OK about not winning, Eric was irked by Garth's performance that night. Garth lip-synced his song because he was he was in the middle of a long run on his tour and his voice was shot.
Eric tells Rolling Stone, “That pissed me off. To me, lip-syncing is and always will be a red line. It’s fabricated. I don’t want young artists thinking it’s OK, because it’s not.”
Eric releases his new album, Desperate Man, on October 5th.
